3-D Marketing announced today that it has signed an OEM Agreement with Toshiba Tec America Retail Information Systems Inc. on their high end table top industrial thermal printer line. 3-D Marketing plans to integrate Ensyc Technologies’ RF1200 Class 1, Gen II Reader/Writer into its new printer line and provide the marketplace with its first high end, low cost RFID Thermal Printer which will retail at $2495.00. “It’s time for realistic pricing on these RFID industrial thermal printers”, said Dean Steeves, 3-D Marketing’s VP of Sales. “The relationships we have made with both Ensyc Technologies and Toshiba Tec America has enabled us to lower the pricing bar without yielding anything to quality or performance”, says Mr. Steeves.

3-D’s initial model will be its RF-11R (Toshiba’s B-SX4T) which is a 203 DPI, 10 IPS with “RFID by Ensyc” inside. The RF-11R is an EPC Class 1, Gen II printer that is specifically targeted to the supply chain industry for the fulfillment of RFID mandates from entities like WalMart, Best Buy and the Department of Defense (DoD).

Over the past decade 3-D Marketing has been an award winning Gold Medalist with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and saw the need for a high quality, low cost RFID industrial thermal printer that would assist other vendors in their efforts to become compliant with the rapidly accelerating implementation of the DoD RFID mandate (252.211-7006) that is currently in place.
